This model was created with FSDSv2 and includes moving parts, alpha channel reflective surfaces, transparent windows, nav lights, landing lights and "on demand" contrails. FS2004/2002 Taylor E2 "Kitty" Cub: Modeled by Golden Age Simulations [Paul Corish, Gil Halpin, Keith Monson] This model recreates the original cub designed in 1930 by C.G. Taylor and advertised as "America's safe airplane", the E-2 Cub was the first one in a long line of aircraft models to carry the "Cub" name. The Taylor Aircraft Corporation, which later became Piper Aircraft Corporation, produced this airplane in 1932. 3.2MB

All versions have updated and tuned airfiles.This version of the Fairchild 24 line and sports a nice round cowl and a powerful sounding powerplant. This model features 4 diffrent Fairchild paint schemes, detailed engine, opening doors, working animated control surfaces, a virtual cockpit with functioning guages and details, pop-down animated landing lights, a nice 'floppy' working suspension for those rough field landings, a revised panel from the F24R-2, a steering tail wheel, and a superb sound file. The 221A Monomail was a major advance in aircraft design, being one of the first all metal, stressed skin monoplanes built. Despite it's advances the 221A'a layout harked back to the biplane era, with the cabin forward, and open cockpit aft. Lack of a constant speed propeller prevented the Monomail's true success, as better twins were introduced by the time C-S props appeared. Only one 221A saw brief service between Chicago-Cheyenne. This is an FSX update of the great FS9 model by Tim Conrad. The package features an entirely reworked VC and cockpit interior as well as a newly configured 2D panel matching the VC in every respect. New smoke effect and new camera views have been added as well. Thanks to Tim Conrad for the original model and to Dale Caruso for his repaint. New VC, cockpit design, 2D panel and smoke effect by Michael Pook.
