FSX/Prepar3D Scenery - Merida-SVMD (Sloped Runway)
SVMD is an airport located 3 km southwest of downtown Merida, Venezuela,
at an elevation of 1,526 m MSL. Its runway is 1,630 m long.
The runway has a gradient slope of +/- 4.05 %, for that reason,
this airport is the most difficult and dangerous to land in Venezuela.
It is situated in a valley in the Andean mountains, surrounded by higher terrain in all
quadrants. Night operations are prohibited
Runway 07 is used for landings only and Rwy 25 is used only
for take off.
Photo-terrain area improved with Autogen files.
Only compatible with versions to FSX or P3D v1 v2 v3 .x.

The Soviet Navy command of the 1960s was very interested in a fast military transport capable of carrying a large payload. The Central Hydrofoil Design Bureau was one of the organizations working on this top secret project, about which little was known until the fall of the Soviet Union.
Chief Designer R.E. Alexeev designed several prototypes in the 1960s. At the start of the 1970s, Alexeev designed a medium-sized Ekranoplan to be used as a military transport. The new vehicle was named "Orlyonok" ("Eaglet"). The first flying unit (S-23) was initially tested on the Volga River in the autumn of 1972, and the next year dismantled and transported to the Caspian Sea for continued testing. In 1975 the S-23 crashed during testing, later proved to be due to a deficiency in the alloy used for the hull. A different alloy was used in all subsequent units built.

The Douglas O-46 was the last of a long line of Douglas Obsevation aircraft designed for the USAAC. It first entered service in 1937. This is a FSX - Acceleration native model. It has the usual animations, reflective glass, working cowl flaps, some bump maps and .dds textures.The 2D panel and VC are based on panels of similar craft of the same era.
