FSX Gipps Aero GA-8 Airvan Package

This is the second version of FSX port-over of Brian Gladden's GA8 Airvan, initially designed for FS9. With permission of the original model designer there were made some improvements of exterior and interior texture, vitual cockpit, aircraft configuration, flight dynamics and sound files. The FSX aircraft is operated from VC only, but has several auxilary pop-up panels to expand control capabilities (mini-panel for external view flight; display, providing detailed engine operations features; pedestal panel with engine, pitch trim, wing flaps and parking break controls).
The FSX GyppsAero Airvan package represents two plane options - GA-8 with Lycoming IO-540A1K1 engine and turbocharged GA-8 TC-320 with Lycoming TIO-540-AH1A. Unfortunately, due to the original model limitations the second option exterior is not authentic visually, as the turbocharged plane has a 3-blade propeller. Meanwhile MP/FP and RPM gauges for both engine options looks properly.

With new ideas of how to keep the P-51 Mustang alive in 1968 and in service, the long-standing workhorse Merlin V- 12 was replaced with a turboprop. This mod was not funded by the USAF, but by Cavalier. The new modification was called the Turbo Mustang III. Later, Cavalier sold the project to Piper. In 1971 Piper built two Enforcers by heavily modifying two existing P-51 Mustang aircraft and fitting them with Lycoming T55-L9A turboprop engines (along with numerous other significant modifications). It was flight tested in April 1971. The USAF, under pressure from Congress, did order two prototype PA-48 from Piper. No other orders were placed and the project died. The two PA- 48 Enforcers do exist today at USAF Museums. Tested in FS2004/FSX/FSX Acceleration. GMAX model by A.F.Scrub

The December 15, 2006, the management of Air Madrid presents the suspension of its activities as an airline, after being warned by the Ministry of Development with the suspension of the license to operate for breach of corrective action plan that had required the ministry to the continuing problems of delays and failures of the airline. The next day the suspension by Spanish Civil Aviation was executed. Addons, FMC, Callouts (GPWS), Groundhandling. Model Thomas Ruth, texture Juan Villamor, full aircraft.
