FS2004 JU52 Retro Restore Project Pt 1 of 2: A project to fly the FS2004 v6 Junkers JU52 (with wheels) in FS2002. Retro-Restoration from FS2004 back to FS2002 is under license from the JU52 Factory, Managing Director: Pierino Primavesi. Thank you Mr Primavesi for your very liberal approach allowing others to change and modify the factory product provided the outcome remains freeware. The factory v6 FS2004 JU52 aircraft are the best since CFs2 and FS2002 flyers have, until now, missed out. You can fly directly from the FS2004 v6 virtual cockpit in FS2002 without returning to the 2D panel to change settings or look at the GPS map. Fly to a FS2002 flight plan for time and fuel consumtion, day or night. Instructions, documentation, and test flights provided. This part only activates v6 D-ANOY using a version 3 panel with no GPS and a fly and hold autopilot. Freeware and packaged in 2 parts by Ross McLennan. FILE NAME: JU_Retro_Pt1.zip 9.1MB

OV-10D X V.3 Bronco for FSX/P3D
OV-10D X V.3 Bronco for FSX/P3D (Category: FSX > Military)
13.79Mb (1995 downloads)
Updated Model: The final service version of the OV10 Bronco was a development of the highly successful OV-10 NOGS (Night Observation Gunship) trials series, itself fruits of Vietnam-era Trail and Roads interdiction Multi-sensor program. The OV-10D served long and faithfully; a modernized D model Super Bronco is on offer from Boeings. New tools, so model update to fix up the prop animations-handed props. Materials all to DXT3 DDS format and revised material settings for external and VC models. Flight model massaged for improved deck manners, elevator gauge added for compatibility with Samar-class sea control SWATH. Sounds aliased to the default FSX KingAir so P3D users will need to add sounds from another similar aircraft.

FSX ASTER_imp GDEMv2 30m mesh for Canary Islands (Spanish territory).
5.07Mb (1995 downloads)
"imp" means imperfect, as other mesh I have already processed is of areas that have very little vegetation cover - over the land, or has large urban areas. This "imp" mesh will include some slight discrepancies of altitude (in the case of forested areas - by a magnitude sometimes of +15 metres-depending on how tall the trees are, in the jungle or forest canopy) over urban areas, or areas with a lot of vegetation cover - due to the limitations of the ASTER satellites infra red scanning cameras, and the software used to process the DEM data. Areas where there is little vegetation cover, or non urban areas, the terrain should have truer values. But I feel this ASTER DEM data is so good - why let it all go to waste - especially flying over lovely Pacific islands? So you FSX users out there will have to take all this into account when using this mesh. Grateful thanks to ERSDAC, and NASA for making this data freely available to the public.
