FS2004 Gauge: VTOL for Helicopters This package contains a VTOL control gauge for FS9 Helicopters, that works around some FS9 limitations and/or incorrect flightdynamics, which makes them sometimes hard to control them; especially at low airspeed and when you have your Realism sliders set above minimum. It provides: - Smooth and stable VTOL capabilities, with pilot-controlled ascent/descent rate, longitudinal and lateral speed, heading, pitch and bank. - Works also in windy conditions. - Automatic activation below 25 Knots IAS, so does not influence the aircraft's flight characteristics in normal flight. - Adds an Autohover/Autopilot function. This is an early-block B model B-26 prior to the addition of the longer wings and taller tail. She is equipped with field modifications in the form of fuselage gun packs...giving her a total of 12 .50s. She is multi-LOD, comes complete with crew figures, panel, gauges and weapons. AIR file by 1%. Weapons are by Dbolt; crew by Martin Wright. The 26 is a tempermental aircraft and it takes some experience to master her flight characteristics. IMPORTANT: The use of elevator trim and flaps are critical in flying the B-26 successfully. There is a complete set of mousable trim controls on the fuel panel. Get to know your panel screens This aircraft bears the colors of "Mister Period/Tondelayo" 452nd BS, 322nd BG, Bury-St-Edmunds, UK, 1943 painted by James Peach (Sopwith Chameleon). FSX/P3Dv3 and 4 Vought Corsair F4U-1a. The Corsair entered service in 1942. Although designed as a carrier fighter, initial operation from carrier decks proved to be troublesome. Its low-speed handling was tricky. Landing a Corsair on a carrier was a difficult task. For these reasons, most Corsairs initially went to Marine Corps squadrons which operated off land-based runways. The U.S. Navy did not get into combat with the type until September 1943.
