Airport Design Editor (ADE) is a graphical design tool to create and enhance airports for Microsoft Flight Simulators 9 and X. It takes it's inspiration from the excellent AFCAD2 developed for FS9 by Lee Swordy. ADE does for FS9 and FSX what AFCAD does for FS9. It adds support for new FSX features such as fences, jetways and terrain. Users can also remove, move, or edit existing buildings and objects as well as adding new ones In addition to airport elements ADE also has a visual Approach Editor to add and enhance the approaches to your airports ADE is being developed with the help of a small group of dedicated airport designers with a wealth of knowledge and experience. ADE sets out to achieve two things in designing and enhancing airports. First to make the enhanced airport look good, and second to make it work properly. Airport design must address both aspects - the visible and the invisible. The design philosophy goes further in assisting users of all levels to get things right from the start. Error checking and 'common sense' are built in. At the same time it is important to allow users flexibility.

"imp" means imperfect, as other mesh I have already processed is of areas that have very little vegetation cover - over the land, or has large urban areas. This "imp" mesh will include some slight discrepancies of altitude (in the case of forested areas - by a magnitude sometimes of +15 metres-depending on how tall the trees are, in the jungle or forest canopy) over urban areas, or areas with a lot of vegetation cover - due to the limitations of the ASTER satellites infra red scanning cameras, and the software used to process the DEM data. Areas where there is little vegetation cover, or non urban areas, the terrain should have truer values. But I feel this ASTER DEM data is so good - why let it all go to waste - especially flying over lovely Pacific islands? So you FSX users out there will have to take all this into account when using this mesh. Grateful thanks to ERSDAC, and NASA for making this data freely available to the public. The Bristol Bombay was designed to serve both as a bomber and a troop transport. It first flew in 1935. It was too obsolete to use as a bomber in Western Europe when the war broke out but served admirably in the Middle East. This is a native FSX Acceleration model. It is painted for service in the Middle East desert. The Pegasus sound file is by Gary Jones. The VC has animated flight controls, working gauges and is based on photo's of similar aircraft of the same era. By Paul Clawson

FS2004 Binh Thuy Airfield Vietnam late 60's Scenery. A model of Binh Thuy Airfield as it appeared in the late 1960's at the height of the Vietnam War. Binh Thuy was a major airbase in the Mekong Delta about 7 miles northwest of Cantho. It was the home of the 632nd Combat Support Group. There is a modern airport (Tra Noc) at the same location in FS 2002. The airport code for Tra Noc is VVCT, whereas the code for Binh Thuy was VVBT. This scenery was designed for FS 2002 but it should work in FS 2004. George Knowles. 521K

FS2004/FSX Antonov An-2 9A-DIZ Textures only for Vladimir Zhyhulskiy's An-2 (here). Operated by Air Tractor, a Croatian company based at Osijek-Cepin (LDOC), which usually specialises in aerial cropdusting with its An-2 fleet. 9A-DIZ is sometimes used for this purpose, but often enough it's either a cargo aircraft or used for parachute jumps. Is a national public commercial airport located in the city of Merida, in the Venezuelan Andes. The airport has one runway of 1640 meters long and 60 meters wide including security zones. This scenery includes terminal building, control tower, fire station, heliports, with very realistic textures. Also includes a detailed VFR scenery with vehicular traffic, approximately 40 nm, around to the airport.
