FS2002 Douglas DC-3 'DC-3 Airways' Bare Metal Versions These are official repaints for the virtual airline 'DC-3 Airways' and are intended primarily for use by 'DC-3 Airways' pilots. This 1940's scheme is designed to be typical of the simple, yet stylish liveries that adorned the bare metal fuselages of pre and post WW-II civilian aircraft. This download includes two versions; a civilian-built DC-3 with Wright Cyclone engines and a C-47 conversion in cargo configuration powered by Pratt & Whitneys. Based on Jan Visser's legendary DC-3 model for FS2000, updated for FS2002, both models include transparent cabin windows, nightlighting and a 3D interior. The passenger aircraft has a folding stair door and appropriate cabin; the cargo version has double doors and DC-3 Airways cargo both inside and outside the aircraft (at rest). The Douglas X-3 Stiletto was a 1950s United States experimental jet aircraft with a slender fuselage and a long tapered nose, manufactured by the Douglas Aircraft Company. Its primary mission was to investigate the design features of an aircraft suitable for sustained supersonic speeds, which included the first use of titanium in major airframe components. This is a new enhanced FSX update of the X3, previously updated by uploader. Textures and panels have been entirely reworked to make them look crisp and fresh and the panels have been equipped with new more realisic gauges. Automatic smoke and burner effects added. All in all, for those who love this awesome aircraft, this is a must-have. Thanks to Kazunori Ito for the original model, to E.J. Wells for his texture enhancements, to Erwin Welker for the 2D panel yoke and to Philippe Wallaert for many of the gauges. Another "what if" concept for the brilliant Golden Age Simulations WACO ATO Taperwing. It's cooked of the real WACO ATO registration and serial numbers (NC8576 and A-85, real story unknown), fictional livery and a a Wright R-975-E-1 Whirlpool engine simulation. With its 365 hp and IFR capabitity the plane is a good staff for air racing and traveling. To make the plane operations more realistic the aircraft file was edited to provide the engine with supercharging capability (as the real R-975 has) which makes you follow operating limits not to loose the engine. Apart the original model and basic texture the package also includes a brand new VC panel. The used sound is a default FS9 Trimotor sound pack.
