FS2002 Douglas DC-3 'DC-3 Airways' Bare Metal Versions These are official repaints for the virtual airline 'DC-3 Airways' and are intended primarily for use by 'DC-3 Airways' pilots. This 1940's scheme is designed to be typical of the simple, yet stylish liveries that adorned the bare metal fuselages of pre and post WW-II civilian aircraft. This download includes two versions; a civilian-built DC-3 with Wright Cyclone engines and a C-47 conversion in cargo configuration powered by Pratt & Whitneys. Based on Jan Visser's legendary DC-3 model for FS2000, updated for FS2002, both models include transparent cabin windows, nightlighting and a 3D interior. The passenger aircraft has a folding stair door and appropriate cabin; the cargo version has double doors and DC-3 Airways cargo both inside and outside the aircraft (at rest). First appearing in 1947, the AN-2's was first dismissed as obsolete, due to it's biplane layout and homely looks. But the "Annushka" would prove the naysayers wrong.... and how! The biplane layout proved itself, and there wasn't much the AN-2 couldn't do, whether as a passenger, cargo, parachuting, crop spraying, or spec ops plane.
