Soc Trang Airfield, Vietnam, Late 60's era.
A model of Soc Trang Airfield, a strategic combat support base
in the Mekong Delta about 2km southwest of Khanh Hung. Soc Trang
was originally a World War II Japanese fighter base. In 1962
it became the first USMC airfield in South Vietnam. The HMM-362
squadron flew UH-34 helicopters. After the marines relocated
to DaNang AB, they were replaced by the US Army's 93rd Transportation
Company and 121st Aviation Company (T-28s and A-1Es). They were
known as the "Soc Trang Tigers." A real tiger named "Tuffy"
was the base mascot. This scenery was designed for FS 2002 but
it should work in FS 2004. George Knowles. 225K

on water and land. An ideal place for bush pilots. Night lightning

Presenting you a Boeing 747-200B in the old Air India livery. The Boeing 747-200B was operated by Air India from 1971 to 2003, when it was replaced by the newer -400 series.The livery and model is by FAIB (Erez Werber).The interior model is the ex-payware Ready-For-Pushback 747-200 Virtual Cockpit. It includes detailed first class seats as well as the trademark stairs which separates the two floors of the 747. Sounds are the VMAX sounds found with the RFP 747-200. The liveries also include the special "Jetley's Sun" Livery, which was also featured on Air India's A310's, bringing the total number of liveries in the package to 8. Packaged by Concorde001. With the Mk 21 the elliptical wing gave way to a new one with blunted tips and changes to the flaps and ailerons. The wing was made even stronger and carried four 20mm cannon. The fuselage was redesigned and the whole airframe was heavier than previous Spitfires, meaning the undercarriage had to be made more robust. The wheels were now fully covered by undercarriage doors in flight
