FS2002/FS2004 SAAB J21R. The SAAB 21R was a Swedish first Jet powered fighter/attack aircraft that saw service in the late 1940s. It was a jet-powered development of the piston-engined Saab 21. As a fighter, its service designation in the Swedish Air Force was J21R. The 21R was powered by a De Havilland Goblin 3 turbojet and was Sweden's first jet powered aircraft to be developed and built domestically. There were few differences between the 21 and the 21R, aside from the method of propulsion. The most notable difference was that the tailplane was raised to the top of the fins, moving it out of the way of the jet blast. In memory of Capatain Chuck Yeager, who passed away on Dec. 7 at the age of 97 this year, this is a new update of his "Glamorus Glennis", with which he broke the sound barrier for the first time in January 1947. The package features reworked and now almost authentic and realistic VC and 2D panels. Automatic smoke and burner included. Thanks to Julian Higgs for the original model, to Bob Chicilo for his FDE updates and to uenoshing for his excellent XF-91 gauges. Also special thanks to Andre Ludick for his fuselage texture corrections. vNew panels and effect configuration by Michael Pook. The model may work in P3D Version3 also.

FSX/Acceleration/FS2004/P3D-Package seaplane tender USS Curritck with Martin PBM-5 Mariner flying boat. That ship was able to carry and provide service to one and more seaplanes. It served during WWII and later in the Korean war. This package contains WWII versions in camouflage, one as pilotable variant and three different ai-boats. The pilotoble ship has a photorealistic navigation bridge with many virtual decks views, five animated guns and an animated crane which puts a PBM5 Martin Mariner from the deck down to the water surface. Then the flying boat performs a take off with sound. Twentythree cameras let you explore the whole ship: The deck, the photorelistic hanger, the animated guns, the crane and the take off of the Mariner. The Martin Mariner is a part reduced model, made from Paul Clawson's freeware FSDS source. The FSDS 3.5 ship model with all its features and configuration is made by Erwin Welker

FS2004 RAF / USAF Upper Heyford, UK scenery. Established as an RFC aerodrome in 1915, the site eventually became an RAF bomber station in the 1920's and 30's, with the veritable Handley-Page Hampden Bomber equipping the 16th Operational Training Unit (OTU) in 1940. Not long after WWII, the USAF leased the air base from the Ministry Of Defense as part of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization (NATO) alliance. In 1952, the USAF's Startegic Air Command (SAC) B-47 bomber aircraft arrived and stayed until 1965. The 66th Tactical Reconnaisance Wing (TRW) took up residence with the RF-101C "Voodoo" until 1969. By the mid-1970's, the F-100's of the 20th Tactical Fighter Wing (TFW) arrived and were replaced soon after by the F-111E, "Aardvark". The US drawdown brought a close to US occupancy and operations at the air base in 1994, at which time the site was returned to the Ministry Of Defense.
