CFS2/FS2002/FS2004 PB2Y Coronado The Coronado resulted from a U.S. Navy request for the development of a maritime patrol bomber larger than the PBY Catalina, one that would have increased performance and good weapon load capability. FS2002 Aircraft-McDonnell Douglas MD 80 AUSTRAL LÍNEAS AÉREAS 0800 Aircraft by Stewart Global and Flight FX Paint job: MARCELO ALLENDE. The MD-80 v2.0 brings a new aircraft fully compatible with FS2002. You will find that we've completely redone most of the model, making it completely Gmax. It features the latest reflection including dynamic shine, lighting, and animation technology including accurate flaps, landing gears, and thrust reversers and dynamic wing views. This is only the first in a line of MD aircraft. Next will likely be the MD83 or 87 as well as the DC9-51. The FDE is the superb MD80 FDE by Sam Chin with modifications by Mike Baumann, and the model is by Jonathan Stewart and Erick Cantu. This aircraft is truly a multi-group effort, one of many to come. The Yakovlev Yak-28 is a swept wing, turbojet-powered combat aircraft used by the Soviet Union. Produced initially as a tactical bomber, it was also manufactured in reconnaissance, electronic warfare, interceptor, and trainer versions. BREWER A and BREWER B used a TACAN-type ground controlled bombing system. Model represents the Yak-28I BREWER C, fitted with the internal 'Initsiativa-2' Bomb-nav system, distinguishable by the ventral mapping radar. This update is a complete re-paint of the base colours of the fuselage and engines, creating patterns and gradients which better represent the mica silver used on the real aircraft. The gradients presented all sorts of problems matching where the textures get mapped onto the air frame in order to ensure that there are no stark differences at the joins. The work is now complete and the result is that the aircraft now really looks more silver than plain grey. After completing the base colours, many fine details were also updated - such as cargo doors, decals, APU doors, nose cone, paint around the cockpit windows, detail under the fuselage, warning lines on engine and fuselage, and much more. This is probably as detailed as any paint job on the AeroSim B787-800.
