This scenery is offered as a gift to the Flight Sim community by Team SDB. The scenery is self-installing and includes accurate airbase arrangements and appropriate static aircraft.

"imp" means imperfect, as other mesh I have already processed is of areas that have very little vegetation cover - over the land, or has large urban areas. This "imp" mesh will include some slight discrepancies of altitude (in the case of forested areas - by a magnitude sometimes of +15 metres-depending on how tall the trees are, in the jungle or forest canopy) over urban areas, or areas with a lot of vegetation cover - due to the limitations of the ASTER satellites infra red scanning cameras, and the software used to process the DEM data. Areas where there is little vegetation cover, or non urban areas, the terrain should have truer values. But I feel this ASTER DEM data is so good - why let it all go to waste - especially flying over lovely Pacific islands? So you FSX users out there will have to take all this into account when using this mesh. Grateful thanks to ERSDAC, and NASA for making this data freely available to the public. FS2004 North Bay V2 (Ontario, Canada). This is scenery for FS2004 only. In my opinion it enhances the CYYB airport (North Bay) with most of its buildings and quite a bit of air traffic, including helicopter student flights (I think this looks cool). There are also the waterfront park, carousel, and the Manitu Islands, which now are shaped as they should, instead of the boomerang MS put there as default. With this scenery, the area looks, from the air, more like the real thing. It installs and works in FSX also, but they changed the coastline on FSX and the waterfront objects appear out of position. Feel free to remove anything you don't like. I named all the objects to make it easy to identify, including traffic. I have included a few planes done by my friend Dave Pearce, with his permission. FS2004 Hua Hin Scenery, Thailand. This is my long overdue overhaul of Hua Hin. I meant to complete this months ago, but I was kept busy by my real life. This worked out well in the end, since there were a few issues with my scenery that I was unable to resolve until the last few weeks. Hua Hin is a slightly unusual airport for because it has highway that runs underneath the runway. The default scenery has the highway several hundred meters away. Also, the end of the runway is just a few meters away from the beach, whereas the default scenery has placed it too far away. These issues result in compromises being made, and you may notice this especially near where the runway hits the beach. It is important to understand that this scenery is a compromise between the real-world Hua Hin Airport, and what is possible to create in Flight Simulator. You can expect future updates to this scenery, as issues with the game engine are resolved. By Martin Strong. 3.8MB
