FS2004/FSX P47 Razorback. When, in January 1943, the USAAF's 56th Fighter Group arrived in the United Kingdom with its massive Republic P-47 Thunderbolts, RAF Spitfire fighter pilots jokingly suggested that their American colleagues would be able to take evasive action, when attacked, by undoing their harnesses and dodging about the fuselages of their huge mounts. FSX Acceleration/FS9 Aerospatiale/Sud-Aviation, SA 321F Super Frelon complete package. This is a full mode photoreal virtual cockipit model with lots of 2d pop up panels featuring all moving parts custom sound and manuals. There is also a tanker scenery. Auto installation zip with landing platform included. Olympic Aviation's SQ-55 was a French made Super Frelon,(Super Hornet) powered by three Turbomeca Turmo IIIE Turboshaft Engines. Bearing Nasal designator F-OCMF was named "HERMES" after the mythological messenger of the Gods of Olympus. It was used as air transport to the remote Aegean Islands with no airstrips during the 60's and had accommodation for 37 passengers. It has been partialy restored by the Aerospatiale Group and donated to the European Helicopter Museum. At the time it was the largest helicopter ever to be moved by road within Europe. This STOL transport aircraft was designed by Boeing as an alternative to the Lockheed C130 in the seventies. Two prototypes were constructed and tested in competition with the YC15 from Mc Donnell Douglas (first flight in 1976). In despite of excellent performances, the project was cancelled and later on Boeing developped the C17 Globemaster.
