The Arsenal VG39 was a French fighter which made its first flight exactly 70 years ago, in May 1940, unfortunately too late to change the flow of the events... In the family of the Arsenal aircraft (VG33 to VG39), the VG39 was the last version to be flown before France collapsed. It matched in speed and manoeuvrability with the Messerschmitt Bf 109 and was faster than the Dewoitine D.520. In the hands of good pilots, this plane could have shown the Luftwaffe a rough time... But there was no time left for its industrial production... The model has full moving parts and animations (control surfaces, gear, flaps, opening canopy, opening nose with visible engine, landing light, ...), an original custom 2D panel and a full animated VC. Five DB Lancasters after breaching the Moehne Dam flew at tree top level to the Eder Dam in moonlight 17 May 1943. After breaching the Eder Dam the surviving crews flew back to Scampton via the Moehne dam at low level. This celebration allows you to witness the terrain over which they flew at tree top level in moonlight but without having to low fly the Lancaster. The Lancaster used is my previously uploaded FS2004 Plane-Design AJG (Dec 2009), but re tuned to fly as an Ai. Once activated AJG flys the route in both directions at the same time. The two AJG's cross over, head to head, along the way. You can simply watch and ponder the terrain they flew over OR you can load up your favourite German fighter (109, 190 or maybe a 262) and go find this intruder. Come up alongside AJG and acknowledge with a wave of the wings the skills these crews had to succeed. The package contains the Ai Lancaster and two FSX airfield updates with coded parking spots and taxiways added to allow the Ai to fly. Menden EDLA is provided in two forms - for use in the FSX default scenery and for use in the German West photo scenery. The other Airfield is Fritzlar Army. A small German fighter display is included at each airfield to remind us all that we are flying in WW2 Germany. Operating details in the readme. Barajas (LEMD) Addon was developed using ADEX v1.5, and tested using FSXA (Acceleration). The project is about a total overhaul of Barajas International worked up from default stock FSX LEMD. Significant changes include: the installation of missing ILSs, making runway 18C/36C operational, and lush details to the entire airport. Aprons tailored geometrically and flooded with ground objects and airport vehicles. All parking aligned precisely parallel, perpendicular or at constant angle to their respective paths, some parking assigned with airline codes. Make sure you look around the airport while taxing to enjoy the eye candy on the ground, or take flight on a super-light enjoying Barajas International great scenery.
