Eagle field- 09PA Port Matilda PA Private Glider field Owned by Karl Striedieck. Karl is a world record setting glider pilot and a member of the U.S. Soaring Hall of Fame. He was an early pioneer of ridge soaring in the Ridge-and-valley Appalachians in the 1960s, ultimately setting nine world records flying gliders there. He was selected for the U.S. national soaring team 12 times, and won a silver medal in the world championships in 1978 and 1983. Mr. Striedieck was a U.S. Air Force pilot from 1959 to 1962, flying the F-86 Sabre and F-102 Delta Dagger, then continued his military service until 1981 in the Pennsylvania Air National Guard, where he transitioned to the A-7 Corsair II. A year before graduating from Pennsylvania State University in 1965, he started flying gliders when he and Bill Clark co-founded the Nittany Soaring Club, flying out of the former State College Air Depot. He has over 15,000 flying hours, with nearly half of that total in gliders. Mr. Striedieck moved his home to the Eagle Field private airport on top of Bald Eagle Mountain, near State College, Pennsylvania in 1966, and now lives there with his second wife, Iris. Basically a manicured farm field, this private glider field offers access to the famous ridge lift of central Pennsylvania. Nearby Ridge Soaring is another one of my airfields available.

Textures for the MAAM sim DC-3. This is a Lisunov Li-2, the Russian (licence) version of DC-3. Manufactured from 1939 to 1953. HA-LIX used by the Hugarian Airlines - MALÉV (before Maszovlet), from 1946 to 1964. This is the only flyable representative on the world, locate in Hungary - Budaörs, work by Goldtimer Foundation. Repaint to MAAM-SIM DC-3 Passenger by T.Feri & Tamás Cornides. Special thanks to Endre Zsaludek aerohistory specialist, for the paint drawings, and colour photos.

FS2002/FS2004 Features For Pilotable Heavy Cruiser HMAS Canberra (download from Usio no Ibuki required). The most graphics of this AddOn can also be used for the Royal Navy cruisers HMS Cornwall and HMS Dorsetshire. All those are very detailed CFS2 warships from Masazumi Kaneko from Usio no Ibuki in a high quality but without VC. My AddOn provides a pilotable ship with bridge, AA-gun-, remote firecontrol- and many deck views, sounds and special effects. Some views showes a Fairey Swordfish seaplane on top of the catapult. 1943 Fairchild M-62A-3 textures for Tim Conrad PT-19

This is an actual back country dirt strip near Goblin Valley Utah. The airport ID is HSA. It was created from scratch by Andy Haws using Airport Design Editor 9x. The approach from the south through the canyon is a nice challenge.

This folder contains Turner and Lake Central airlines textures. Turner airlines was began by Roscoe Turner in 1947 and was later renamed Lake Central airlines using the same livery. These textures are for the FSX default DC-3 aircraft by Microsoft/Aces and modified James Eden and Jon Murchison. These textures require AWESUM4SUM.zip modification to the default FSX DC-3 Textures by Gary Harper.

RAF Rufforth for FS2002 and CFS2 by Mike Dews Rufforth was one of 20 airfields built in Yorkshire when the RAF bombing campaign against Germany gathered force in 1941. At Rufforth 600 acres of farm land was compulsorily purchased. The base was used by Halifax's of 7 Group Bomber Command until February 1943 when the last raid was launched. It then became an OCU unit until the end of WW2 when RAF use was wound down. Most of the land has now been returned to local farmers and a local gliding club is now based there. CFS2 Repaint FDG P-51D for "Duchess Arlene: Ottumwa, Iowa native Captain Robert Williams flew 50 combat missions and later wrote the original manuscript for the award winning 1995 HBO film "The Tuskegee Airmen" with his character portrayed by actor Laurence Fishburne. Captain Williams' P-51D Mustang named "Duchess Arlene" wore number 10 and is the featured paint scheme.Captain Williams' wartime sweetheart "Duchess Arlene" was Arlene Roberts of Moline, Illinois who later married Williams.Captain Williams flew from Italy with the 100th Fighter Squadron, 332nd Fighter Group of the 15th Air Force destroying two enemy aircraft between 1944-1945. He was awarded the Distinguished Flying Cross, the Air Medal with six Oak Leaf Clusters and the Presidential Distinguished Unit Citation.
