The Cessna L-19/O-1 Bird Dog is a liaison and observation aircraft. This light observation plane saw action un Korea and more recently in the Vietnam War, where it was used for reconnaissance and forward air control with under-wing smoke-rockets. The Bird Dog had a lengthy career in the U.S. military as well as in other countries. The Chilean Air force operated this light utility aircraft since the years 60s, in duties as liaison, sanitary transport, air reconnaissance and photography. Today in Chile, this aircraft is yet used for glider towing and is better known with the name of "zanahoria" ("carrot" in spanish). Created by:Bob Wening & Robert M.
