Cathay Pacific VR-HDT 'Miss Macao' was one of two Catalina amphibians bought in Manila by Cathay Pacific and chartered to the Macao Air Transport Company (MATCO), for trading between Hong Kong's Victoria Harbour and the nearby Portugese colony of Macao. On 16 July 1948, ten miles from Macao, a Chinese criminal named Chio Tok fired a .38 bullet into the base of Captain Dale Cramer's skull, and 'Miss Macao' crashed into the Pearl River Estuary with the loss of all passengers and crew save one. A bungled gold bullion robbery, this was the first recorded hijack of an aircraft for material gain. 4.06Mb (4944 downloads)
FS2004 Disco Vollante', (Italian for flying saucer). This is a STOL lifting body vehicle designed to take-off as well as land in sectored highways that allow flying vehicle access interfacing. It is another concept for the future of personal air transportation that would make flying much like driving a car. The Disco utilizes ducted fans in a 2 stage dual network of thruster tunnels, powered by a wankel rotary turbo charged and fuel injected engine, all buried neatly within its little hull. A high rpm gyroscope mounted between driver and engine enduces yaw and roll control which enables flying sideways like a helicopter without flight control surfaces. This model features opening perspex/canopy, retracting landing gear, working suspension, working and retracting and turning Cam Pod, retracting STOL wing foils for low speed landings, custom panel, opening belly scoop, 6 diffrent colors with dynamic shine and reflection, and instructions on how to drive your new 'vehicle' in the world of tomorrow. You'll find your brief case and duffle bag stowed in the nose boot. If you find yourself being followed by an F16 or guys dressed in black are waiting for you in the driveway, tell them its just a sim model. By William Ortis, Lionheart Creations Ltd. 4.1MB

2.62Mb (4944 downloads)
FS2004 Dassault Mirage III-E. Created with FSDS_v3. Features highly reflective metallic skin and the usual moving parts, such as all flight controls, spinning wheels and so on. The panel background has been created entirely from scratch, based on photographic material found in the net and some photos shot by the authors. The most part of the gauges have been created by the author. A bunch of FS98 gauges from unknown authors are also used in this panel (see credits), plus some default FS gauges. Included in this model there is also a very simple virtual cockpit, with working essential gauges and animated flight controls. By Italo D'Attomo and Giovanni Quai. 2.7MB
