FS2004/FSX Fairey Firefly Mk1 Warbird The Firefly first flew on 22 December 1941 and was produced until the mid-1950s. Although most of the earlier operational versions remained in use with the Royal Navy, Royal Australian Navy and Royal Netherlands Navy. Firefly fighters and reconnaissance fighters went into operational service in late 1943 and were mainly used in the Pacific theatre of war against Japanese forces and targets. Reconditioned Firefly Is were also supplied to the air forces of Ethiopia and Siam during this period, while Firefly target tugs served in Sweden and Denmark. GMAX mdl by A.F.Scrub

FSX Air Afrique Boeing 737-200. Registration TU-TAV. This aircraft first flew in 1969 and was already 26 years old when Air Afrique purchased it in 1995. It was sadly written-off only two years later, in August 1997, at Douala (FKKD) Cameroon, after skidding off the runway during a rejected take-off, following a tire burst. This is the beautiful Kittyhawk/FFX model by Eric Cantu, originally created for FS9, converted for FSX. Full animations including rotating nose wheel, delayed reversers, opening cargo doors, air stairs and jetway ready main exit door. Realistic Pratt & Whitney JT8D-15 Turbofans engines and environment sound pack by "Aeromusica" (Daniel Carerri, Benoit Plamondon & Mark Cranston). This is a repaint for Kazunori Ito's T2C Buckeye, available on this site. The aircraft "The Spirit of 76" was assigned to VT-26, NAS Pensacola and was prepared by the Rockwell Company and the United States Navy for the celebration of America's 200th anniversary in 1976. Just to the rear of the air intakes "The City of Beeville Texas" appears, honoring that city and its place in American history. I originally did this repaint for my own enjoyment and as a part of my learning to repaint an aircraft; I am still learning. This was actually my second attempt at a repaint many months ago. I decided to put the aircraft out there for other simmers; perhaps some of you might enjoy the "Spirit of 76" as much as I have. Original model is by Kazunori Ito, repaint by Ron, Wildman, Gillam.
