FSX N787ZA flight World Record's Boeing test airplane Boeing 787-8 V3, On Dec. 8, 2011, N787ZA set a speed record for flying around-the-world in 42 hours and 27 minutes and set another record when N787ZA flew from Seattle to Dhaka, Bangladesh marking the Dreamliner's distance record of 10,337 nautical miles for the plane's weight class. In 2010, the History Channel presented its "Most Extreme Airports", which was the inspiration for this mission. Here you are presented with the challenge of takeoff and landing at 5 of them. You will have the option of doing this twice...in 2 different aircraft, the first being a bit easier than the second. Successful landing grants you goal achievement and you are automatically advanced to the next airport challenge. Should you crash or otherwise fail, your airport progress is preserved, thus you do not have to save the mission in progress, simply reload at your convenience. You will fly ENSD, Anda, Norway in the Baron and KingAir; LFLG, Courchevel, France in the PiperCub and Cessna172; LPMA, Madeira, Portugal in the 737 and 747; LXGB, Gibraltar, UK in the CRJ700 and A321; and MHTG, Toncontin, Honduras VFR assisted with hoops and unassisted with 2.5 NM visibility. This mission lacks only the reward, which will be added to final version...Enjoy the Challenge at the "Advanced" skill level.

FS2000 background ambiance wav (Filename:amb2k.zip) This wav consists of ten layers of different cabin sound mixed mix-pasted into one wav. Built into the wav are avionics sounds, atc chatter, (hardly audible) seat belt clicks, passenger chatter, cabin announcement tones, cabin engine noise,and trim wheel clicks. All these sounds are combined to give a nice looping background ambience sound, it really enhances your flight. I made this wav on a suggestion from Peter Wright in Australia, he was fed up the missing cabin sounds in FS2000 that heard on real flightdecks. I have utilised the wind configeration settings to make this wav work. Best heard when cruising on auto-throttle. Can be also heard when engines are shutdown. Instead of silence now you can enjoy this sound file. This wav is for all the FS2000 default jet aircraft, sound configs are included for each aircraft. By Mike Hambly. 3.2MB
