Doug Turnbull's iconic Space Station V from Kubrick's masterpiece '2001. A Space Odyssey' Major upgrade from previous version, re-framulated mesh, texture mapped and animated, 2 landable hangar bays. May be used as a scenery object, or with AICarriers2, and; of course, Rob's brilliant space gauge set. Also enclosed; a light aerospaceplane, cockpit alaised to Tim Conrad's CR-14 Cylon attack craft. Just a doodle, a WIP, a modeling and animation exercise; has animated landing gear, doesn't do much otherwise. Pulls 4.5 Gee vertical, though! meshes created and textured in sketchup, animated in FSDS 3.5, compiled in MDLX. I took some liberties with the space station to make it work. First off, its finished. You could not spin a half completed station. The wheels counter-rotate to cancel gyroscopic precession, and the docking bays are non rotating zero-gee bays. While the spaceplane rolling into the bay looks great on film, it would be impracticable and down right dangerous to have a 300,000 lbs nuclear spaceplane flailing into space dock. Not great, and I just threw some basic textures on it, it could use some higher rez skins...someday. Have fun, and remember to close the pod bay doors...

FSX openVFR Austria POI (points of interest). openVFR is a free scenery for FSX based on data taken from OpenStreetMap (OSM). The goal of this project is to enhance the world in MS Flight Simulator and bring a completely new level of realism to VFR pilots, who mainly navigate visually. As the standard scenery doesn't fulfil their needs this project has taken a lot of different information from the open streetmap project, including land use information, leisure information, natural information, railways, roads, waterways and point of interests (POI). Note: This file is experimental state. Up to now you' ll need to have a very powerful computer to run these scenery addon. This is an update for FS9 and FSX of the Robin HR200 by Mike Stone. I have updated the flight dynamics, added, deleted or changed gauges on the panel so it would work in both sims, changed the size of the GPS and eliminated the need for the background picture for same. The Fokker FVII was, in its various versions, the most successful European airliner of the decade between 1925 and 1935, and had also considerable success in the USA. The three-engined Fokker FVIIa/3m appeared soon after the first Fokker trimotor was, in fact, the second FVIIa built. The FVIIa/3m was mainly sold in America after winning the Ford Reliability Tour of 1925. The Fokker F.XII trimotor was much larger than the well-known FVIIb/3m. KLM had 8, and the associated company KNILM 2, two F.XII's. This mega pack features three different Fokker models and six very detailed liveries deigned by Jens B, Kristensen. However, all the panels have been remodeled and enhanced and the FDE has been modified to function properly in FSX Acceleration. Thanks to Jens B. Kristensen for his original models, to Mauele Villa and Maarten Brouwer for some of the repaints and to Erwin Welker for the added camera views. New panel, FDE modifications as well as smoke effect by Michael Pook.

Default repaint (textures only) of the Acceleration F-18. This scheme is based upon the experimental finish devised by aviation artist Keith Ferris in the late 70's and designed to break up the outlines of an aircraft using different shades of grays in a hard edged splinter style. Several aircraft, usually Navy F-14's, F-4's and agressor F-5's took part in the trials, but the scheme has never largely been adopted. By Jason L. Terry

CFS2/FS2002/FS2004 Ryan FR-1 Fireball Service variant of the Fireball. This model has full squadron paint scheme and warload for CFS2. The aircraft was a mixed power twin engine radial/jet fighter bomber but came along as jet only aircraft were finding favour within the US military. WWII was almost over by the time it entered service. 100 planes became operational with the US Navy. They flew operationaly on board VS-21. Original model by Ian Lawrence.
