CFS1 Aircraft & Missions: Dambuster V 4-900 for CFS1: "CFS1 is aloive and kicking even in 2009". Probably the ultimate in DB and B1 Lancasters for CFS1. Replaces all previous DB related releases from 2004-2006 and provides improved reliability in XP. Forward gun alignment is now for a panel zoom ratio of 0.50 OR 0.25. This required updated dp files for each loadout and therefore, for user convience and so as not to interfere with any similar aircraft you may have installed, full re-named aircraft are provided. The project is still based on Roger Lowery's RAF662 B1 Lancaster's VNE, ARG and Keith Clifford's Dambuster and Grand Slam aircraft. Bomber Command 617 and 460 (RAAF) Squadron Missions including a Tallboy raid on the Moehne. Keith Clifford's AJG is also supplied as a CFS1 MultiPlayer version. Pilot's should note that flying a CFS1 mission with a MP aircraft using the TG2 gun aiming program is difficult. After sitting in the Pilot's seat of a working Lancaster in 2007, the CFS1 panels are no longer "widescreen" the centre post has been put back. A "captured" analogue ME262 altitude gauge by Bernd Drefahl is used as a ground radar gauge to effectively achieve +60 feet when low flying. Maps are based on Paul Levesque's CFS v1 map. A simple navigation panel with Chuck Dome's GPS gauges and Scott Macmillan's continuous recording engine gauges are provided. RAF Scampton airfield is by Terry Baldwin. The C-74 was planned during World War 2 as a much bigger successor to the C-54 Skymaster. An airliner version was also planned, and PanAm actually ordered it as the 'DC-7'. After the war it became obvious that a better design could be made, so only 14 C-74 Globemasters were built. With Jens kind permission: FSx native, MDL X materials and animations, 3D props &c. C-74 model and a late second block (cancelled) C-74A with nav radar, models with loads and no loads.

FSX/FSX Acceleration Bristol Bulldog IIA. The Bristol Bulldog was a single seat biplane fighter of the inter-war period and one of the most famous aircraft used by the RAF during that time. The Bulldog Mk II entered service with the Royal Air Force in May 1929, replacing the Gloster Gamecock and Armstrong Whitworth Siskin fighters then in frontline use. It is remembered for spectacular aerial formation displays at the annual Hendon RAF competition. The Bulldog's superb maneuverability and ease of handling made it very popular with its pilots. The Spanish used the Bulldog at the outset of the Spanish Civil War on the Republican side. This is AlphaSim freeware Bristol Bulldog, no 2D panel but working VC. "imp" means imperfect, as other mesh I have already processed is of areas that have very little vegetation cover - over the land, or has large urban areas. This "imp" mesh will include some slight discrepancies of altitude (in the case of forested areas - by a magnitude sometimes of +15 metres-depending on how tall the trees are, in the jungle or forest canopy) over urban areas, or areas with a lot of vegetation cover - due to the limitations of the ASTER satellites infra red scanning cameras, and the software used to process the DEM data. Areas where there is little vegetation cover, or non urban areas, the terrain should have truer values. But I feel this ASTER DEM data is so good - why let it all go to waste - especially flying over lovely Pacific islands? So you FSX users out there will have to take all this into account when using this mesh. Grateful thanks to ERSDAC, and NASA for making this data freely available to the public.
