This is another Washington DC area airport to bring the Potomac to life. The base is the site of the Marine Corps Combat Development Command and HMX-1 (the presidential helicopter squadron). FSX Soko(Avioane) IAR-93 / J-22 Orao Romanian Air Force. The Yugoslavia aviation industry started a program for the design of a replacement for the F-84 Thunderjets which were in the service with the Yugoslavia air force at that time. Romania was also looking for a replacement of it's older Mig-17's. The joint program was given the name YUROM (YUgoslavia-ROMania). The Yugoslavia aircraft was designed as the Orao(Eagle), while in Romania the plane was given the designation IAR-93. This aircraft is a twin-engine, turbojet, high-wing aircraft intended for performing close support, ground attack and tactical reconnaissance missions within the zone of the front and also in the enemy rear and can also be used as low level interceptor. X-Plane 9.70 North American P-51B Mustang. An earlier P-51B for 8.64 that has been completely revised and tweaked for version 9.70. For better handling of this plane it is strongly recommend that you read the POH that is supplied with the plane. WW2 fighters with their powerful engines and monster propellers were not easy beasts to tame. Take the time to learn to fly this plane properly. It will prove rewarding.
