Modified with the permission of FS KBT, their Electra has been modified by myself into the iconic airtanker that many fly as today. The great model by FS KBT largely remains unchanged. With the exception of the external tank and gauge modifications added for true engine auto smoke that will be uninterrupted by the use of the aircraft's smokesystem by either your own custom retardant/water effects or if you use this with FireFighterX. A retardant tank was also added in the payload section for payload management in FireFighterX. The L-188 Electra airtankers grace the skies mainly of the Great White North of Canada. Rarely seen in the United States, the Electras do make their way south into the States in the worst of fire seasons, 2020 is one of those years. The largest operator of fire bombing Electras is Air Spray. Two other operators of the Electra exist in Canada. Buffalo Airways operates several in tanker configuration. As does Conair, but with a single aircraft currently. 2 repaints are included in this initial release. T-481 from Air Spray in the L-188C(AT) variant, and T-60 from Conair in the L-188C(F) variant. The entire Air Spray Fleet repaint pack(s) as well as Buffalo Airways will follow this release. These include the HD 4K textures, hence the large file sizes. Aircraft was built and tested in P3Dv4.5, but is compatible with P3DV5 and FSX. But is untested in either. Aircraft originally by FS KBT, airtanker conversion by Nicholas Mitchell. This is a special model conversion project to create the first ever flyable DC-10 VLAT (Very Large Air Tanker) in the sim world. This modification includes updated dynamic lighting, custom retardant effect, and obviously the external tank. This project has evolved from the SGA DC-10 by Thomas Ruth and Eric Cantu. It was made FSX native by George Arana. Whom also assisted in the external tank attachment and other parts of the project. Without the exceptional base model and the help of all those involved, this project never would have come together. This package includes 2 models and 6 liveries. A DC-10-10 model, which the original VLAT conversion was done to to create T-910. The original T-910 was contracted by Cal Fire in 2007-08 which is represented in this single livery on that model. The second model, the DC-10-30 which the fleet for 10 Tanker Air Carrier now exists entirely of consists of the remaining 5 liveries. Those liveries represent T-910, 911, 912, and 914 in US operation liveries. The 6th is of T-910 in NSW RFS contract livery for Australia in the 2018-19 season. Designed in P3Dv4.5, but should work with FSX and most likely P3Dv5, but is untested in either. Original design credit goes to SGA / Thomas Ruth and Eric Cantu. Paris Le Bourget LFPB Freeware Scenery. Scenery of a famous French airport Le Bourget, the home of a well-known air show. It is located 12 kilometers southeast of Paris and primarily used by business jets (but can easily accomodate A380 or large cargo planes). Due to close proximity of Charles de Gaulle international airport, Le Bourget has unusual approach to runway 25 to avoid de Gaulle traffic. Oh, and you can see the Eiffel Tower from here! This scenery has super-accurate layout, taxiways, markings and navaids according to the latest charts (May 2017; included) and satellite images. Made for P3Dv3, but works fine in FSX:SE and should work in vanilla FSX and P3Dv4 too. Made by Dmitriy Kozyrev
