Part II of 'Russian Skies Series'--Scenery and Flights: Numbers: 1079, 1086, 1083, 1086, 1090, 1072, 1103, 1084, 1086, 1085, 1077, 1090, 1072( Gold Coin)). Gold Coin Air Station was built in 1964 and since then it has become a 'Cold Weather Survival School' for the Russian Navy. Once a year other Navies are invited to the 'Gold Coin two weeks Special Super Cold survival training'. This year the British, Greek and American Navy have agreed to participate. The Gold Coin Station is located almost at the North Pole and has to be provided by sea and air the needed supplies every three months. The flight usually leaves from KRASNOYARK__ stopping at_ALYKEL____ for special anti-frost boots which wear out very fast. On this flight a another stop will be made at the hometown of Admiral Georgeol Kraprinsky in _SAKLIN___ (New Landclass, airfield and scenery here) since he has to return after a three week vacation with Avna, his wife. There is a complication: The American C-130 participating is lost in some mountains and a SAR operation has been mounted and the weather station called 'North Star' must be re-supplied since they ran out of gas. Pilots participating in this scenery and flights should have some experienced flying in very cold weather. Do take your yellow socks for luck if you go to the meeting.

FSX/FS2004/2/CFS2 WW 1 Pfalz D XII. The Pfalz D.XII was the successor to the Pfalz D.IIIa series fighter and entered service late in the summer of 1918. It was a sturdy and well designed fighter that nearly rivaled the famed Fokker D.VII in performance. It could outclimb, outdive and outspeed the Fokker D.VII, but it was less agile. CFS2 ONLY and FS2000 only! Mike Pupich purchased this aircraft from Paramont Studios after it was in the film "Catch 22". Later after beginning the resotoration work he met some original crewmembers of the 390th Squadron, 42nd Bomb Group "Crusaders", of the 13th Air Force who were originally stationed in the South Pacific theater during the War. Mike decided then and there to re-do the aircraft just like the original. The original aircraft was flown by Charlie Wells. He flew four missions with the original "Heavenly Body" as copilot and 38 missions as pilot. The stellar moment for this aircraft was when "Heavenly Body" roared off the deck of the USS Ranger on 21 April 1992 to honor the 50th anniversary of the Doolittle raid on Tokyo. Today she does airshows nationwide and it looks like there will be many years of pleasure from her to come. This original model was done by Roger Dial, Mike Hambly and Bruce Thorson. Re-paint by J-P "Gray Wolf" Demmerle. 2.8MB

FS2004 Hawker Sea Hawk Update. This is an update of a Hawker Sea Hawk (here). The only reference with this aircraft is a .com web site that cannot be found. I have changed the positions of the wing tip lights and the two beacons. I also changed the smoke effects and afterburners so they are more the size for the aircraft. I have fixed the wheels so the nose wheel does not burry itself in the ground, and I have updated the flight dynamics. Bob Chicilo. 108K
