FS2004/FSX Grumman AA-5B SE-GIB Textures
(Category: FSX > Props)
4.15Mb (886 downloads)
This is a repaint of the excellent Grumman AA-5B by Tim "Piglet" Conrad in Swedish national colours for FSX/FS2004. This is a fictional paint scheme as i recently moved to Sweden and my girlfriend thought it would be cool if i did a plane in swedish colours. I also modified the textures for the VC cockpit and 2D cockpit so they display the plane registration correctly. No other textures were modified so as to retain as much of the original flavour of the aircraft as possible. To use this aircraft repaint you will need the original Grumman AA-5B by Tim Conrad (AA-5B.zip)

This allows you to dump fuel from your aircraft. It should work with any aircraft, but l haven't tried them all.
It gives you the standard FSX fuel vapour trail behind the aircraft and adds a warning sound in the cockpit.
Warning sound changes as the valves close.

FSX ASTER_imp GDEMv2 30m mesh for New Zealand.
(Category: FSX > Terrain Mesh)
155.31Mb (885 downloads)
"imp" means imperfect, as other mesh I have already processed is of areas that have very little vegetation cover - over the land, or has large urban areas.
This "imp" mesh will include some slight discrepancies of altitude (in the case of forested areas - by a magnitude sometimes of +15 metres-depending on how tall the trees are, in the jungle or forest canopy) over urban areas, or areas with a lot of vegetation cover - due to the limitations of the ASTER satellites infra red scanning cameras, and the software used to process the DEM data.
Areas where there is little vegetation cover, or non urban areas, the terrain should have truer values.
But I feel this ASTER DEM data is so good - why let it all go to waste - especially flying over lovely Pacific islands?
So you FSX users out there will have to take all this into account when using this mesh.
Grateful thanks to ERSDAC, and NASA for making this data freely available to the public.

Repaint of the VB P-51B Mustang with the Malcom hood
(Category: CFS2 > Aircraft)
1.82Mb (885 downloads)
CFS2
Repaint of the VB P-51B Mustang with the Malcom hood (complete
aircraft) is intended to represent a Mustang of the 353rd FG,
8th AF. It was named LUCKY LEAKY II. This plane lost an engine and
bellied in at Raydon in May 1945, and was destroyed. I have several
books, mostly Squadron Signal publications, that show pictures of
this plane. I thought it would be a great repaint, and took the challenge
up. I'd say it came out well. Will "DaFraz" Turner. 1.8MB

CFS
North American ABP-51H Mustang.
(Category: CFS1 > Aircraft)
3.48Mb (885 downloads)
CFS
North American ABP-51H Mustang. The
"H" model was the fastest of the Mustangs to be produced, and is considered,
along with the Republic P-47M Thunderbolt, to be THE FASTEST propeller-driven
aircraft of World War II. Designed to still operate at the higher
altitudes to carry out its original role, I use the air-cooled version
of the original engine. This helps to eliminate the Mustang's vulnerability
to damage, and, as an added bonus, has helped its performance significantly
at lower altitudes. I consider this aircraft a true "add-on", and
NOT a "mod". Includes a second aircraft, a "repaint" of the AB-P-51H,
called the AB-P-51H "Vampire". Author, model, air and damage profile,
textures, and sounds: Michael Priester. 3.5MB
