CFS2 RA-5C Vigilante. Requires the CFS2 Jet Base files here otherwise this aircraft will not show. Planned in late 1950's as a successor to the AJ-1 Savage, the Vigilante prototype first flew in 1958 and was decades ahead of its time, with many 'firsts' such as a digital computer, INS, slab tail and variable inlets and much more. Although conceived as a bomber, the USAF soon adopted the nuclear strike role which meant the A-5 was used soley for the recon role. This package contains all four Aviation Traders ATL.98 Carvairs which at various times between 1965 and 1972 have been operated by the French airline Compagnie Air Transport, i.g. Carvair #4 F-BMHU 'Henri Malon', Carvair #5 F-BMHV 'Cdt Max Guedj', Carvair #10 F-BRPT 'Commandant Charles' and Carvair #15 'President Gamel'. Initially CAT purchased the Carvairs for the car-ferry service Nice-Corsica, but soon they were also used for medium- and long-haul freight services. These are textures only. The building is located in New York City, Los Angeles, Chicago, Washington DC, St. Louis, Tokyo, London, and Paris. By Victor Vu.

This airfield represents an actual airfield used by the USAF. It was originally constructed as a bombing and gunnery range until its deactivation after WWII. It was then re-activated by SAC from 1949 until 1975. Today, it is used by the Dept. of Interior as a wildlife refuge. I built the airfield based on Google Earth Images. See the readme for additional details. You will need AFCAD2.21 to modify and use the airfield.
