An FSX adaptation of Tim Conrad's sweet little X-24 Lifting Body. Built as a atmospheric test vehicle for a planed orbital version intended to be a military spaceplane lofted by a Titan launcher. A series of unmanned half scale X-24's were flown on sub-orbital and orbital test flights to validate Hypersonic and reentry performance. The design performed well, and detail design and operational doctrine for the orbital military version was well advanced when the airforce walked away from manned military capability. Mr.Conrads X-24 is a FS2002/2004 model that, with modifications, looks and works great in FSX. The panel has been re-worked using Mr.Conrads T-2 gauge cab(included). Flight model has been re worked to give HOTOL LEO capability (Nuclear gas core/H2 rocket?) A couple of new textures for hypothetical 'operational TAV-24's' included. A fascinating glimpse of an Air Force that almost was.

Kruse-Curtiss Flyer. This model was designed from pictures of my Great-Uncle Frank Kruse's plane combined with plans of other Curtiss planes of the time. I'm estimating that the plane was built in 1910 or 1911 from Curtiss plans published in 'Popular Mechanics'. The Curtiss museum is not aware of any Curtiss designs that used this style aileron, however the rest of the plane is obviously Curtiss. We don't know what Uncle Frank was thinking, maybe this style aileron was easier to rig. He flew the plane in the Chicago and central Illinois area and didn't die in the plane. Other than the pictures and my Grandmothers stories of some of Frank's other exploits not much is known of what became of his plane. And yes, that is Frank in the plane - at least the best I could do with the pictures available.

FS2004 Eurocopter EC-505 Tiger HAP. preview version: - limited detail and without virtual cockpit. Tiger HAP : The Tiger HAP is an air-to-air combat and fire support medium-weight (6 tonnes) helicopter fitted with 2 MTR 390 engines. It is daytime and night combat capable and is operable in NBC environments. Three basic parameters were taken into account right from the start of the development phase: low (visual, radar and infrared) detectability, which provides excellent survivability on the battlefield, maximum efficiency of the weapons and the associated fire control systems without heavier workload for the crew, and an optimized logistic concept offering minimum possession costs. The Tiger HAP is fitted with a 30-mm gun turret; 68-mm submunition rokets, and air-to-air Mistral missiles. It also features a firing sight with 3 sensors: infrared, TV camera and direct optical channel. The complete avionics suite includes multi-purpose color displays and radar/laser warning receivers.
