RAF Bradwell Bay is a former Royal Air Force station located 9.5 miles (15.3 km) east of Maldon, Essex, England and 3.1 miles (5.0 km) south west of West Mersea, Essex. The airfield was first used as grass landing strip for the nearby firing ranges before being turned into a RAF station with concrete runways and hangars.The station is unique as it was the only fighter station where the Fog Investigation and Dispersal Operation (FIDO) was used. Part of the site is currently being used by the Bradwell nuclear power station. Several of the hangars are still used as storage by the local farmers and the control tower is now a private house. Agricultural buildings, built in the '70s and '80s on runways one and two, are now home to several local businesses. CFS2 Shadow Bases Scenery and Missions: My first attempt at scenery creating: These are all purely fictional bases. The North Base complex is an airbase with a nearby oil drilling and shipping facility, located on the northern coast of New Guinea between Hollandia and Wewak. Long island is a "dormant" volcano, halfway between Alexishafen and Cape Gloucester. It has a standard airbase on coast with a seaplane base on the lake in the volcano crater. All airfields have refuel and are lighted at night. I haven't learned the GSL scenery techniques yet so the scenery objects on the bases (hangars, trees etc) are not "interactive" ie: you can't destroy them and they won't cause collisions. Included are replacements for 2 of my missions, without the Mission Builder infrastructure objects I originally used for making these bases: . Greg Baskin. 243K

Rescue Island West For CFS2 . This Island features 3 airports, two which have full ATC and AI capability, and a giant bar shaped like a Heineken beer bottle with landable helipads and two runways for challenging landings. The ILS approaches at Main Base and Sky Harbor were made very close to the canyon walls purposely for added excitement. John H Auger. 2.6MB

CFS Scenery Add-On "Dresden-Klotsche" The "Dresden-Klotsche" scenery is roughly fictional but attempt to show a detailed depiction of the german airport of Dresden during WWII. I have added a section of Elba river, the Frauenkirche and the bridge over Elba on Dresden downtown. I include static FW-200 Condor, Junkers Ju-52/3m, Fiesler 156 Storch, Junkers Ju-87 Stuka, Me-109, Lufthansa DC-2 and FW-190. By Edmundo Abad. 595K
