FSX Henschel HS P75 concept fighter with canards. That german design from the year 1941 was to be a possible successor to the Messerschmitt Bf 110 heavy fighter and used at the beginning the same engines as the He-177 bomber. Later the unreliable engines war replaced with a 3000hp Daimler Benz DB610. The aircraft can exceed 420 mph in level flight using it's counter rotating pusher props. The FS2002-model from Steve Robinson comes with with sound and 3 liveries, including one air brushed air racer. I converted the model to FSX and replaced his modern gauges in the VC with FSX-compatibe, mostly typical german WWII-gauges and created three 2D-panels matching the three paint schemes. The Soviet Navy command of the 1960s was very interested in a fast military transport capable of carrying a large payload. The Central Hydrofoil Design Bureau was one of the organizations working on this top secret project, about which little was known until the fall of the Soviet Union. Chief Designer R.E. Alexeev designed several prototypes in the 1960s. At the start of the 1970s, Alexeev designed a medium-sized Ekranoplan to be used as a military transport. The new vehicle was named "Orlyonok" ("Eaglet"). The first flying unit (S-23) was initially tested on the Volga River in the autumn of 1972, and the next year dismantled and transported to the Caspian Sea for continued testing. In 1975 the S-23 crashed during testing, later proved to be due to a deficiency in the alloy used for the hull. A different alloy was used in all subsequent units built.

Used to deliver a varied payload, ranging from single torpedo to multiple bombs it’s mission were many and varied. In truth it was often sent where 4 engined bombers should have flown. 3.5MB
