FS2004 Binh Thuy Airfield Vietnam late 60's Scenery. A model of Binh Thuy Airfield as it appeared in the late 1960's at the height of the Vietnam War. Binh Thuy was a major airbase in the Mekong Delta about 7 miles northwest of Cantho. It was the home of the 632nd Combat Support Group. There is a modern airport (Tra Noc) at the same location in FS 2002. The airport code for Tra Noc is VVCT, whereas the code for Binh Thuy was VVBT. This scenery was designed for FS 2002 but it should work in FS 2004. George Knowles. 521K

The "Boo", as it was known, was an excellent cargo lifter, in spite of its ungainly appearance. With outstanding short/rough field capability, it could lift useful loads into almost any airstrip. Caribou production ended in 1973 after 307 had been built, most of which were for military customers.
