Every four months he would get a pass for one week to go see his young wife in Lima. He told me many stories of those days, some of awe and some of "high doubts":). German was a great friend and this is an example of the "flights in the Catalina" which he took to return to civilization and embrace his wife for a few days. This is the flight of FAP 559, a Consolidated Catalina, from 667-CER, an army base located in MANU (SPNU) to 778-CER and then on to Lima. Its was in the hight of the "rainy Season" and the pilot flew below the clouds over the jungle and high Andes Mountains under heavy rain all the way. Can you fly it and stand the rigors of it safely?....here is your chance.

It has been a few years since this gauge has been updated. There are not many changes. There is a workaround for a bug in P3D which prevents discovery of the correct frequency for an ILS approach. So now this gauge is fully P3D compatible. There is also a new feature to display the destination distance on the map and also display of radio frequencies on the VOR and NDB screens. Apart from that there are some cosmetic changes which are hardly noticeable. :: V8 Fixes the problem of the release and the ICAO Search did not work because of two characters missing. This is an update for FSX/FS9 of the Mig-21F Fishbed by Ricardo Batalha. I have updated the flight dynamics, given it a 2D panel, changed the afterburners and smoke effects, changed the position of the beacon and strobe lights, and reduced the fuel so it is not overweight. I changed the VC hud, but the rest of the VC was not good enough to try and fix better. This is the whole aircraft.

FS2004 Cessna 185 Update. This file is an update to the CFG file of the Cessna 185 by J. R. LUCARINY (here). This update modifies the contact points of the main gear and tail wheel. Now the wheels are set at ground level instead of slightly underneath the ground as seen on the original aircraft. Also engine horsepower increased to 350hp and stall speed with flaps down is decreased to 45 knots. This may not sound like a realistic modification (and it isnt) but hey, its flightsim, so whatever. The plane now lifts off the ground at a more reasonable distance, just adjust the prop to 2400rpm at 500ft. no manifold pressure limit so go wide open until you run out of gas!. I use a Cessna 206 sound set but you can alias the default mooney sounds for a more realistic sound. Have fun with the Cessna 185. 184K
