LGSM Samos International Airport, Greece. The island of Samos lies in the Eastern Aegean and is a very popular tourist destination for flights from Berlin, Munich, Gatwick, Oslo, Copenhagen, Rome and many others. It is widely regarded as the most dangerous airport in Greece, mountaineous terrain requires a sharp right hand turn onto runway 09 and landings are invariably subject to strong turbulence. The airport has been designed to sit on the excellent photoreal scenery by Dimitris Ntaskas, which is available on Avsim and called 'samos_305814.zip'. It also uses many objects from my lgkf_kefallinia.zip scenery also available here. The scenery has been designed for and tested with DX9 and FSXA only, if used with the default terrain many objects will be misplaced. The scenery features a very detailed airport, repositioned according to satellite imagery and is based on real photographs. Full night lighting is included with washed lighting of the apron and carparks. The nearby town of Pythagorio has been modelled and includes some local landmarks. The Mig-37E was a Russian concept stealth fighter, designed as a counterpart to the American concept aircraft F-19 Stealth. Further detailed facts about this aircraft are unknown. This is an update of my earliar FSX update and features both an enhanced VC and 2D panel with more authentic gauges installed. Thanks to Kazunori Ito for the original model and to Philippe Wallaert for the annunciator gauge, new update by Michael Pook.

Typical C47 Skytrain, this issue of the 81st Squadron, 463rd Group troop transport, was based at Membury, Britain, between March 1944 and February 1945; although he participated in the airborne assault south of France, from the Italian base of Voltone, during July and August 1944. The "Buzz Buggy" square mission indicates his participation in Normandy, southern France, Nijmegen and Bastogne, in missions parachuting and glider towing.
