Flying in the Andes during the 1920s and 30s was indeed as dangerous as bathing in a sea full of sharks. The sharks here were the Mountains, the changing weather, the hights and the lack of oxygen. Besides the pilots of the era were flying aircraft with rather small and not to powerful engines. This is a mission of the Air Mail Service in the southern tip of Chile around 1929.You will board your plane at Dawson Island where the Air Mail Reception Station 403 is located. All mail from Santiago, Chile and Buenos Aires, Argentina is received here for local delivery. You will feel the cold wind on your face and battle the hights like so many aviators did with glory and finally return in your small Vickers biplane to a good cup of hot chocolate and rest. Tomorrow you fly again.

Original description: This soundpack includes a lot of audio recorded with TrueSound technology from Horizon Productions SFL on YouTube! If you didn't already know, Horizon offers the ONLY aviation videos in the world with 100% real sound! I made this soundpack because I was sick of trying to get each engine to sound right... The soundpacks I download never seem to represent the Trent 700, or the CF6, or the PW4000 like they sound in real life. So I decided to make one generic but realistic soundpack that would cover for all heavy airliners. It's like a mixture of everything! Before the First World War, airships had been used as commercial airline carriers and for reconnaissance vehicles by the Army, no one had considered using them as bombers.
Designed by Count Ferdinand Von Zeppelin, the airships were built from a rigid cigar shaped metal structure of circular frames connected by longitudinal beams. This made them strong enough to be fitted with engines and to carry a useful payload.
There were steering fins at the rear and gondolas suspended below for the crew and engines. More crew compartments were inside the main frame as well as spaces for cargo and bags that contained the hydrogen gas for lift.

A repaint of Mike Stone's model in the colors of L'Air Azur
VA, with high detail reflective textures and new night lighting
effects. Size and placement of windows and exits has been corrected.
This repaint aims to recreate the glamorous look of vintage
aircraft in the Golden Days of Commercial Aviation. Textures
in 32bit extended format with no mipmaps. (Requires Full Mike
Stone Constellation here).
