FSX Bristol Bombay

The Bristol Bombay was designed to serve both as a bomber and a troop transport. It first flew in 1935. It was too obsolete to use as a bomber in Western Europe when the war broke out but served admirably in the Middle East. This is a native FSX Acceleration model. It is painted for service in the Middle East desert. The Pegasus sound file is by Gary Jones. The VC has animated flight controls, working gauges and is based on photo's of similar aircraft of the same era. By Paul Clawson

Part I....This is a complete revamp of my"Jomsom Evacuation" mission of some years ago and is far more challenging. Fly in additional troops to Jomsom to counter a planned Rebel invasion. You will have to deal with lightning, thermals, crosswinds, windshear, the possibility of stalling, anti-aircraft flak and tracer fire. I have split the mission into two parts of 30 minutes each. Please download Jomsom Evac Part II as well to complete the mission. To save you a lot of trouble I have included the required aircraft file for the mission, hence the large file size. Acceleration required.

Original description: This soundpack includes a lot of audio recorded with TrueSound technology from Horizon Productions SFL on YouTube! If you didn't already know, Horizon offers the ONLY aviation videos in the world with 100% real sound! I made this soundpack because I was sick of trying to get each engine to sound right... The soundpacks I download never seem to represent the Trent 700, or the CF6, or the PW4000 like they sound in real life. So I decided to make one generic but realistic soundpack that would cover for all heavy airliners. It's like a mixture of everything! Zeppelins LZ-114 & Dixmude

Before the First World War, airships had been used as commercial airline carriers and for reconnaissance vehicles by the Army, no one had considered using them as bombers.
Designed by Count Ferdinand Von Zeppelin, the airships were built from a rigid cigar shaped metal structure of circular frames connected by longitudinal beams. This made them strong enough to be fitted with engines and to carry a useful payload.
There were steering fins at the rear and gondolas suspended below for the crew and engines. More crew compartments were inside the main frame as well as spaces for cargo and bags that contained the hydrogen gas for lift.

The Jetstream 31, first flew on 28 March 1980,being certificated in the UK on 29 June 1982 several hundred 31s were built during the 1980s. In 1985, a further engine upgrade was planned, which flew in 1988 as the Jetstream Super 31, also known as the Jetstream 32.
