Racing floatplanes from the Virtual Schneider Project updated for FSX

10 Racing floatplanes which should have or actually took part in the Schneider Trophy back in 1929. Originally made for FS2004 as part of a freeware project called Virtual Schneider Project by Transglobal. Since the project, makers and models seem to have disappeared from the internet, I decided to not let their work be lost and forgotten. I updated them to make them usable in FSX. They all have a reasonable virtual cockpit. Installation is a simple copy-paste operation. These racers are different beasts to fly: Some need speeds of more than 100 knots to rotate. Most are unstable below 150 knots and require high speed and effective use of the trim to stabilize. Top speeds are surprising for floatplanes and high-g turns, a couple of feet above the water, are what they were made for. All credits go to the original makers of the Virtual Schneider Project. CFS2/FS2002/ PA-48 Enforcer
With new ideas of how to keep the P-51 Mustang alive in 1968 and in service, the long-standing workhorse Merlin V- 12 was replaced with a turboprop.
This mod was not funded by the USAF, but by Cavalier.
The new modification was called the Turbo Mustang III. Later, Cavalier sold the project to Piper. The Enforcer had little in common with the original P-51 and it was flight tested in April 1971. The USAF, under pressure from Congress, did order two prototype PA-48 from Piper. No other orders were placed and the project died. The two PA- 48 Enforcers do exist today at USAF Museums.

FSX / P3D up to v3. The Nakajima Ki-84 Hayate is a one-seat fighter flown by the Imperial
Japanese Army Air Service in the last two years of World War II. The allied report name was
Frank, the designation of the Japanese army was Type 4 Combatant. The Ki-84 is generally
considered the best Japanese fighter to operate in large numbers during the conflict. The plane had high speeds and excellent maneuverability with an armament that gave it a formidable firepower. The performance of the Ki-84 coincided with that of any single-engine allied fighter it faced, and its operational ceiling allowed it to intercept the B-29 Superfortress bombers. This is a revision, adaptation and repack of multiple skins, propeller revision, gauges, flight characteristics and others, for its operation is FSX and P3D up to P3Dv3 of the Akemi Mizoguchi model. To all the merits for this excellent model.
