FS2004, Maupiti airport, French Polynesia.....NTTP This is a whole new Maupiti. It contains the terminal, tower, helipad, boat docking area to get to the main island, and an afcad by Ray Smith, which makes the airport come alive at night with runway lighting, and blue marker lights around the tarmac. This island is often referred to as a mini version of Bora Bora, and it is just a short hop from there. It is the smallest airport in the Society Islands, and one of the smaller islands also. The airport is also located out on one of the motus, or coral reefs surrounding the island, and as with Bora Bora it is necessary to take a boat from the airport to the main island. First appearing in 1947, the AN-2's was first dismissed as obsolete, due to it's biplane layout and homely looks. But the "Annushka" would prove the naysayers wrong.... and how! The biplane layout proved itself, and there wasn't much the AN-2 couldn't do, whether as a passenger, cargo, parachuting, crop spraying, or spec ops plane. FSX/FS9 ASAS textures only for FSDZign L-049 Constellation. These textures depict PP-PDH which was originally operated by Panair Do Brazil. This aircraft was painted in the colors of ASAS but never operated by them. It was broken up in 1974.
