FSX DeHavilland Vampire FB5 SAAF - Package
(Category: FSX > Military)
37.62Mb (1693 downloads)
Contained in this stand-alone package is a Vampire of the South African Air Force circa 1971. It also sports 'seemingly' transparent engine covers that allows one to see the jetintakes, these are automatically added on engine shut-down. I decided to create this set of revised textures as I realized the lack of such a specimen for use with FSX. It also portrays really nice in a sunlit blue sky. I trust that you'll enjoy flying it as much as I do.
Original model by Robert Richardson.

24.67Mb (1693 downloads)
Morane-Saulnier MS-406B/C, another one of Thicko's great CFS2-planes, now flyable in FSX. 2 Models (tailwheel or tailskid), 8 liveries (3 French, 2 Vichy, 1 Finnish, 1 Swiss and 1 Regia Aeronautica), thanks to Thicko, Morton, Franzi, Villa and Epsillon. Morton's exceptional photorealistic 2D and an acceptable VC by me, all with working gauges (included), thanks to Michel Migaud and his FK-58 'crew'. Hispano-Suiza sounds are from Lawdog (who else?), gun- and cannon-effects for fun. Enjoy!

This is a total update of the airport at Raiatea in French Polynesia.
It is the largest airport in the Society Islands outside of
Tahiti. This scenery contains a new realistic terminal, the
rustic hangar area, and the tower, along with tropical landscaping,
and an afcad by Ray Smith. This island along with all of the
Society Islands of French Polynesia are among the most beautiful
paradises on Earth. They can all be greatly enhanced by using
the terrain mesh by John Applegate, and Rolf Keibel, updated
for FS2004 under the name of fpsimesh.zip. There are also some
new landclass files for this area which will also greatly enhance
this forgotten area in FS, and their location is available in
the read me file of this scenery. By: Bill Melichar. 3.2MB

Denel Atlas AH-2 Rooivalk FSX / P3Dv3
(Category: FSX > Helicopters)
83.96Mb (1692 downloads)
FSX / P3Dv3 update Denel Atlas AH-2 Rooivalk. Previously designated Atlas CSH-2,it is a South African anti-tank helicopter manufactured by the company Denel Aerospace Systems thanks to the support obtained in collaborations with Western companies and the experiences acquired in the South African Border War. The Rooivalk was the result of the need of the previous South African army to obtain a combat helicopter prepared for the conditions of sub-Saharan Africa and especially the fight against tanks, of which many were lived in the South African Border War. Thanks to technology transfers made by several European countries, the United States and mainly Israel; South African companies such as Denel acquired the necessary technology for the construction and production of this type of aircraft. The first prototype flew in 1985; but the series devices arrived too late to intervene in the conflict in Namibia, as the first series device took off on November 17, 1997; already when the war was over. At that time the South African Air Force had acquired 12 units to equip two squadrons. On the excellent model of Johan Jacobs to whom the merits go, I have made changes in VC Cockpit textures and a 2d panel has been designed, sounds, rotor textures and other details have been changed, tested in FSX up to P3Dv3. Enjoyment....
