FSX North American TB-25N Mitchell N9494Z
(Category: FSX > Vintage)
27.95Mb (422 downloads)
Built as a B-25J for the USAAF as 44-30925, MSN108-34200 was converted to a TB-25N at some stage in its service, before being stored at Davis-Monthan in August 1958.
Sold in 1960 as N9494Z, she went through a variety of owners before appearing in “Catch 22” as “Laden Maiden”. After filming, Colonel John Stokes bought the aircraft in 1975 and restored the colour scheme as she appeared in the film.
Colonel Stokes very kindly sent me several photographs of N9494Z when she wore the scheme that I have used on this model.
The late John Jeff Hawke bought her in 1978 to continue her film career appearing in the documentary “Mitchells do fly in IMC”, then in “Hanover Street” as “Gorgeous George-Ann”, and finally as “Thar She Blows” in “Eye of the Needle” in 1980.
Her film career over, she was stored at Blackbushe becoming derelict, until 1982 when she was dismantled and trucked to Wellesbourne Mountford in 1982 and then to Coventry in 1985, still owned by John Jeff Hawke/ Visionair International. In 1985 Aces High bought the aircraft registering her as G-BWGR and moving the hulk to North Weald.
She was then sold to David Copley in 1998, moving to Sandtoft in 2001. The Brussels Air Museum Foundation bought her in 2005 and she is currently being restored to static condition.
I have used the brilliant Brian Withers/Roy Chaffin/Bluebear B-26J RAF MkII and modified the TruNorthSim USA/Africa texture adding the nose art, national markings and tail markings as used by Colonel John Stokes in San Marcos, TX. There is also engine exhaust flames and smoke and, when the main exit is open, the crew leave.
The only snag is that Laden Maiden never carried the cheek guns as on the model and I can't remove them.

FSX/FS2004 Boeing 737-219C C-GTVO Buffalo Airways
(Category: FSX > Civil Jets)
6.15Mb (312 downloads)
MSN 22994 was built in 1982 and delivered to Air New Zealand as ZK-NQC in December of that year. In 2001, NQC went to Airwork and acquired an overall bright yellow colour scheme. Sold to a leasing company in 2012, NQC became C-GTVO and went to work for Starlink before going to Chrono Aviation in 2018 where she had the overall gloss black scheme applied. 'VO went to Buffalo in March 2025, still in the overall black colours. Painted on to the Eric Cantu/SGA Boeing 737-200 model, this shows 'VO as seen in service with Buffalo earlier this year.

FSX/FS2004 Convair 580 N300K Ford Motor Company
(Category: FSX > Props)
29.31Mb (219 downloads)
MSN 318 was built in 1956 as a Convair 440-35 and delivered to Continental Airlines as N90861 in February of that year. Continental sold 318 to the Ford Motor Company in 1959, who upgraded her to a CV580. She served with Fordair until being sold off to the IFL Group in 1994. 318 continues to fly for IFL as N171FL carrying freight instead of executives.
Painted on to the Tom Gibson/Gregg Pepper/CalClassic Convair 580, this shows N300K in the first paint scheme she wore for Fords.

This rare aircraft has originaly been created by Torsten Abraham and Andreas Poppe. The panel and sounds had been done by their friends. From my side I just added a repaint in fictional Lufthansa colors from another friendly author and thre different 2D panels in different configurations of my own. I just want to republish this rare bird as she merrits not to be forgotten
Happy landings

FSX/P3D Melilla, Spain, by Simzaleak
(Category: FSX > Scenery)
505.60Mb (168 downloads)
This is the scenery of Melilla in Spain since I don't see there is no other scenery than this one. So I decided to re-upload this scenery which was originally made by Simzaleak for FSX and P3D until it is gone from it's website. To used it simply install it to your FSX/P3D directory and add them to your scenery library manually. By Abdul Hamid.

FSX/FS2004 Dornier Do28D2 Skyservant N21MN
(Category: FSX > Props)
1.16Mb (156 downloads)
Built in 1968, msn 4005 initially flew as D-IDOQ before being exported to Canada as CF-WVD. Sold into the United States, she became N3799, before joining Munz Northern Airlines in 1974. Re-registered N21MN in 1979, she served Munz Northern until 1983, when Ryan Air of Anchorage bought the airline. N21MN then had a variety of owners before becoming YV-692CP for a private owner. Her eventual fate is unknown.
Painted on to Anthony Konstantinidis’s Dornier Do28D Skyservant model, originally for FS2002 but modified for FSX and FS2004 by Hans van Spelde, this repaint shows N21MN in service with Munz Northern Airlines. I do not know if the textures will work in FS2002. Enjoy.

FSX/FS2004 AX697 WACO YKC Long Range Desert Group
(Category: FSX > Vintage)
15.44Mb (345 downloads)
Built in 1934, msn 3993 was sold to a wealthy Egyptian and registered as SU-AAN. In June 1937, it went to Prince Abbas Halim who then flew it in the “Circuit of the Oases”.
When war was declared in 1939, the Long Range Desert Group bought SU-AAN for the sum of £3000, and had it resprayed by a civilian contractor, not the RAF, and it became AX697.
This accounts for the photographs of AX697 that show the underside of the aircraft as being dark, not the usual Sky Blue, as on other RAF aircraft.
Used by the LRDG for communications and to resupply LRDG patrols and missions, the aircraft did not survive the war.
The only surviving piece of AX697 being part of the instrument panel held by the Imperial War Museum in London.
Painted on to Paul Bradshaw’s excellent WACO YKC model, the repaint shows AX697 as she was in service with the Long Range Desert Group.
Enjoy.
