Envisioned as an affordable light fighter in contrast to the rising cost and size of typical combat aircraft, it was procured as a trainer aircraft for the Royal Air Force (RAF) as well as by export customers, who used the Gnat in both combat and training capacities. FSX Pilotable Admirals Cup catamaran AC72 with the colours of Fly Emirates. This pretty racing boat under sails is made by Henrik Nielsen and belongs to his addon "130 AI Ships and AI Ship Traffic.zip", which brings traffic into harbors and empty sea. The FS-boat provides a good manoeuvrability and reaches speeds up to 24 knots. Seven camerara views plus two VC-cockpit views let you enjoy the ride. FS2004 Douglas DC-3 Santair Few people realize that Santa Monica Airport, where the venerable Douglas DC-3 first flew on 17th December 1935, was named after Santa Klaus and his wife Monica. The Man In Red was quick to spot the benefits of undertaking his yearly mission in a mode of transportation ideally suited to the task, and was one of Douglas' first customers. "Hallmark Cards and Thomas Kincade can keep their reindeer and chimneys", he declared. "I'm going with Pratt and Whitney. Fuel me up, elf". And so it is today. 70 years later, if you look up into the sky on Christmas Eve ... there's every chance you'll get hit in the eye by a plummeting box, should any of Monica's hand-sewn parachutes fail to open. Based on the default DC-3, with parachute present delivery effect adapted from the work of Pierino Primavesi. Also features Christmas lights on the cabin top. Merry Christmas to all! The lack of gifts is all down to a major stuff-up by Santa's Chief Elf, yours truly, who uploaded old working files in error rather than the finished packages. FS2002/0 Vari-Eze The Vari-Eze was designed in 1974 by Burt Rutan. The first Vari-Eze (Model 31), registration number N7EZ, was built in 1975 and was powered by a converted Volkswagen engine. The second prototype, registration number N4EZ, was completed in early 1976. This model used a Continental aircraft engine, giving it more horsepower, faster speed and longer range. N4EZ is also the prototype of Model 33, which was offered in kit form to amateur/home aircraft builders. Rutan built the Vari-Eze to prove that the canard concept would be safe and popular with civil aviators. FSDS model, textures and airfiles by "Rans14". 778K

This is the second version of FSX port-over of Brian Gladden's GA8 Airvan, initially designed for FS9. With permission of the original model designer there were made some improvements of exterior and interior texture, vitual cockpit, aircraft configuration, flight dynamics and sound files. The FSX aircraft is operated from VC only, but has several auxilary pop-up panels to expand control capabilities (mini-panel for external view flight; display, providing detailed engine operations features; pedestal panel with engine, pitch trim, wing flaps and parking break controls). The FSX GyppsAero Airvan package represents two plane options - GA-8 with Lycoming IO-540A1K1 engine and turbocharged GA-8 TC-320 with Lycoming TIO-540-AH1A. Unfortunately, due to the original model limitations the second option exterior is not authentic visually, as the turbocharged plane has a 3-blade propeller. Meanwhile MP/FP and RPM gauges for both engine options looks properly.

FS2004 or 2002 scenery - Arecibo Observatory & surrounding hills, currently operated by the Cornel University, is a big object in the Arecibo area, in Puerto Rico, and can be seen from quite a distance. It is close to the Arecibo airport, ICAO designation ABO (ARE in FS2002). The observatory is used for radio-astronomy, and the spheric dish is 304 metres in diameter. ("Spheric" as opposed to "parbolic"). The "receiver-transmitter" is in a gondola suspended over the dish by three sets of cables, which are suspended from three towers. The Microsoft FS2004 site has testimonials claiming the existence of the observatory, but it only exists in FS2000, where it is quite poorly done. Author: Fern Marques. 111K

But this plane was also - and above all - the one used by the french pilot Hélène Boucher to set, during the summer of 1934, several very historical speed records - over 400 km/h - that made the young woman enter the legend, only a few weeks before her death ...Contains all the usual features (moving parts, etc, and even Hélène's face in the pilot seat).Complete package with custom 2D panel (an original bitmap by me, using mainly stock gauges).
