FS2002 Grumman XF5F-1 Skyrocket PTO Operational Colors The Grumman Skyrocket was developed just before WW2 and was the first twin engine Navy fighter. It had awesome performance for its day, it was fast (exceeded 450mph in a dive) and could outclimb a Corsair. Carrier pilots loved it because the contra-rotating props eliminated torque effects on takeoffs and landings. Unfortunately, the Navy thought it was too heavy for carrier ops and opted to mass produce the single engine F4F. This FSDS2 Project includes full moving parts (tail hook, canopy, ailerons etc...)custom panel and specular shine, repaint based on a "what if" the navy had chosen this aircraft instead of the wildcat....the rest is history. FS2002 Tupolev TU-114 Just as Tupolev had successfully adapted the Tu-16 bomber into the Tupolev Tu-104 medium-range airliner, the design bureau was instructed to develop an airliner with intercontinetal range based on the Tu-95. This model is loaded with features such as knight lighting effects, counter-rotating prop, animated landing gears,flaps, 32sides ailerons and rudder, it also includes flight crew and clear glass, as well as a complete sound package by Mike Hambly. FS2004 Douglas DC-3 Santair Few people realize that Santa Monica Airport, where the venerable Douglas DC-3 first flew on 17th December 1935, was named after Santa Klaus and his wife Monica. The Man In Red was quick to spot the benefits of undertaking his yearly mission in a mode of transportation ideally suited to the task, and was one of Douglas' first customers. "Hallmark Cards and Thomas Kincade can keep their reindeer and chimneys", he declared. "I'm going with Pratt and Whitney. Fuel me up, elf". And so it is today. 70 years later, if you look up into the sky on Christmas Eve ... there's every chance you'll get hit in the eye by a plummeting box, should any of Monica's hand-sewn parachutes fail to open. FSX/FS2004 P47 D Thunderbolt Never beautiful like the Spitfire, not as agile as the Bf 109, nor as long-legged as the P-51 Mustang, the big Republic P-47 Thunderbolt nevertheless was one of the most successful and best-loved fighters of all time. The 'Jug', named for its bulky shape, was a monster of a machine, yet it was fast and manoeuvrable. The pilot had enormous power at his fingertips and knew that if his aircraft was hit by gunfire, he had an excellent chance of getting home safely.
